What do you mean “travel size?”

So how did my day go, you ask? I was incredibly tired all day, and I honestly have no clue why. Work went by as it normally does, and I had the chance to read more of the Book of Mormon. After work, though, I headed off to my normal pierogi place near Hallera. Mix plate of 12 pierogi (instead of the normal 8). That means there were four ruskie (potatoes and cheese), four cabbage (with mushrooms), and four meat kinds. Yes, yes, I was very happy with this lovely meal! I’m telling you; I could live off of these things.
Afterwards, I hopped back onto a tram to go to Biedronka to buy some laundry powder… … Which is where my title comes from. Essentially, my choices were: big, or bigger? :D I mean, that’s probably a good thing, as I have a lot of laundry to do. Plus, it makes sense as Biedronka isn’t the store that has that much variety in reality, so I’m sure the other stores have smaller sizes. I am definitely carting it down to Krakow with me. >_< After all this trouble! Although, I was full-heartedly shock when I saw the price of it. It was the first thing on the register, and bam, 30 złoty! Ah well… what can ya do? I must say, though… it was horribly heavy. I think it was worse than the liquids, somehow. Thank goodness I didn’t do too many groceries today. However, I did buy some CHAŁWA!!! WOOO! … Essentially, likely one of the worst things for you ever. It’s basically made of sesame seeds, fat, and sugar, and it is delicious. So good.
Ah! Best part of the day, though! I can’t even describe the sound I made whenever I saw the POSTCARD IN MY MAILBOX. :DDD From Sam and John! I love my Muffins! Totally made my day! And the adorable squirrel on the front of the postcard! It’s a Vandy squirrel, cause there are three squirrels to every student at my wonderful school in the US. Yes, I was super excited. Also, I was impressed by the fact it made it here despite the missing r in my street name… However… I somehow doubt there are many other street names similar to it, and I’m sure the postal people were sorting it and saw the American stamp and were like, “Oh, ok.” *shrug, move on with life instead of continuing the confusion*
… Oh my goodness, I was just going to write, tomorrow’s my last Friday at work when I realized: today was my last Thursday. … Time flies guys, it really does. Well… I think that’s it. Now I am spending the afternoon and evening washing clothing and finding constructive ways to hang them up to dry without a drying rack! :D Hopefully I can get through at least two loads… That would be most optimal. Drawing and story time! Wooo!
SUPER EXCITING! I made it work! I am successfully doing my laundry! Guys, I’m pretty sure that you could make a comedy based around me and laundry. My apartment is going to look ridiculous by the time I’m done finding places to hang clothes up. Between that and my multiple failed attempts and my year at Vandy, it’d be a hit. “The Adventures of Nell You-Can’t-Pronounce-Her-Last-Name and her Failed Laundry!” Yup, sounds about right. (Obviously joking around. :P At least I know how to laugh at myself. ;D)
Note: The above was written yesterday.
Ah yes, so I totally forgot to mention, yesterday, on the tram to the pierogi place, when I got on, there weren't much seats left. I looked at how three people were sprawled out over four seats, but I didn't feel like trying to ask for one, so I was going to look for another seat. However, as I turned around, one of the women reached out for me to show that she had made room. (: That felt awesome, considering my mom warned me before going to Poland how it's rather rare people will get up for other people on the trams or buses, unless obviously old and in pain.
This morning, something very similar happened. Ya see, my legs have been hurting from all of the running I've done (sad, I know), so today I decided to not run to get to things, and I've probably got a worse limp than normal. When I got on the tram on Hallera to go to work, a woman made her son stand up to give me the seat. I guess she could see my limp walking up to the train. Still, it was a rather neat experience, considering it's so rare.
